How To Fix Everything on Your Car With Zip-Ties (now all we need is some duct tape)

It's not a difficult concept but someone made a cool stop-motion video about it, so to pay respects to their hard work and the life-line (zip-ties) of drifting I give you the art of the zip-tie.

Ken Blocks New Whip....Ohhh So Sexy!

I must admit, I may actually like the new ride better than the old! Now if they would only make a production car that looked the same (maybe minus the decals)!

Most VW/Audi's Can't Drift But So What?

As mentioned previously I will also be showing content from around the car world. I'm honestly surprised at myself that it's taken me this long to post some euro content since I grew up modding and driving German cars.

We have all seen videos we love and hate, some that have amazing editing and other that look like a 2 yr old edited them, but these guys never cease to amaze me video after video. This is a group called Wagenwerks and they are affiliated with DubKorps, and from every video I've seen of theres I am yet to be disappointed, so sit back, relax and enjoy (also be sure to check out their other stuff on vimeo etc.)

Mishimoto is now sponsoring Adams Motorsports Park!

We are proud to announce a collaboration between Mishimoto and Adams Motorsports Park for 2010!

For the 2010 season Mishimoto will be sponsoring Adams Motorsports Park as part of their Mishimoto Loves Drifters campaign launched earlier this year. As we look to support the drifting community from the grass roots level upwards we realized that Adams would be an amazing place to start and help to grow the sport! With their history and reputation in the amateur drifting world it only makes sense to work with such a great team and facility.

Throughout the course of the year you will see exclusive content from Adams and Mishimoto Loves Drifters highlighting the drift scene along with special promotions and offers!

So stay tuned!

Charity is a Good Thing

I've been in the car scene for almost 10 years, and I've been able to experience some amazing things with some amazing people. I've also come to the realization that when it comes down to it we are all the same, all the silly fights about "My Car Brand Is Better Than Yours" is a waste of time. When it comes down to it we all enjoy the same thing....4 wheels and an engine, regardless of how they are set-up. I've always tried to learn as much about every brand/culture that I possibly could, I started in VW's almost 10 years ago and have since been to events and cruises for just about every make and model from Honda's all the way to Porsche's and Ferrari's, and have enjoyed them all.

Over the past weekend I had the great pleasure of going on a car rally/cruise with the guys from NASIOC (North American Subaru Impreza Owners Club). This wasn't your normal car rally or cruise, this was specifically set-up to raise money and awareness for the American Cancer Society. This was the 9th year the 48hrs of Tri-State cruise has taken place and it has grown steadily year after year, and I can tell you why....passion! The passion of everyone involved was astounding, from the founding team members to all of the drivers, it was great to be apart of something so special. Overall the group raised almost $35,000....not bad for a bunch of car nuts!

For the cruise I hitched a ride with a long time friend who actually works for Subaru North America in their corporate offices in Cherry Hill New Jersey. It was great to see some drivers from Subaru Corporate and then all of the enthusiasts, it really shows what type of company Subaru is and the community it gets involved with.

If you would like to learn more about the 48hrs of Tri-State or learn how to donate please go to: www.48hrs.info

Below is a picture re-cap of the weekend (there are countless more pictures)

The kick-off breakfast at Subaru Headquarters

Subaru pitching in 10G's for the Charity Drive, now thats dedication!

The "secret tents" at SOA, Subaru brought a few cars from their museum over to show the crew, pretty cool stuff to say the least!
Here are a few pictures from the tent:

I Loved this ride, I really think it's a great candidate for HellFlush (maybe a small spacer out back), other than that it was perfect!
Our first stop after rocking through a national park (roads were horrible, but it added to the fun!)

It's always nice to see the bad guys get pulled over, this guy kept purposely cutting people off in our caravan...except for the one time he decided to go flying up the left lane right in front of a cop...sooo long sucka!

Getting gas at the end of the day, nothing like a gas station full of Subaru's!
True Rally Edition!

Pranks are always good.....
Starting the cruise on the second day!

At Vermont Sports Car.....this is where the magic happens ladies and gentlemen! This is the company Subaru works with to build all of the Rally America vehicles, they have worked with Colin McRae, Ken Block, Travis Pastrana, Dave Mirra, and many more. We had the entire facility to ourselves to just walk around and check out everything and anything we wanted!

The doorway to rally heaven
The actual Travis Pastrana New Years Eve Jump WRX!

Just some random pics from in and around the facility!

One of these things does not belong....

Back on the Road!

All the little black dots in the picture are people ice-fishing....good luck getting me out there!

We found some fun roads!

The view from our cabins on Sunday morning!
MMMM! Dirt!
The final drivers meeting Sunday morning!

Again, thank you to everyone who made this an amazing trip and for a great cause....it was a blast!

Digging the Soundtrack & Style

So I have a thing for chill music and unique videography style (as you will see some of my favorites across car cultures posted in the coming weeks.) I found this video over at www.stanceworks.com and I dig it, so I'm posting it!

Nothing to Do With Drifting (Except $$$$ for Parts)

It's no surprise everyone is strapped tight these days, so here is a chance to put in a little work and potentially get a nice pay-off. Easy enough right?

Drift This!!!!

So this may not be a Silvia or AE86 sliding around the corners but when was the last time you watched several $100,000 +++ cars drift around a snow covered track in Norway! Either these guys have huge balls or bigger wallets...either way it's great to see cars being driven hard regardless of the road conditions (or lack of.)

Brand new Porsche Panamera Turbo!

A RR Phantom....seriously you did see this, an 5800lb car sliding like crazy!
